Title of the Project: How to translate JCPS website & Youtube CC into Spanish.

Process:

As part of our STLP Level 2 project, we contacted our ELL teacher to find out what were the videos that were needed by parents and students. She suggested a few topics. I decided to do on 2 topics which I felt were very important. I did not know about these tools before I did this video. Since we do not have Screencastify on our Chromebook, my teacher suggested using Google Meet. Every week we started doing a few videos. I shared my screen with my teacher and she recorded the video. 

Later on the video was edited using the iMovie on the iPad. 

I can speak Spanish well and I translate for my family members too.

Title of the Project - How to translate JCPS website & YouTube CC into Somali

Process:

As part of our STLP Level 2 project, our group reached out to our ELL teacher to find out what were the videos that were needed by parents and students. She suggested a few topics. Since I am also part of ELL, she taught me a few tips on how to use the translation tools. Since I do not have Screencastify on our Chromebook, my teacher suggested using Google Meet. Every week we started doing a few videos. I shared my screen with my teacher and she recorded the videos. These two videos took just one day to record, We practiced a few times before we started recording. If I made a mistake, my teacher stopped and we did it again. 

Later on the video was edited using the iMovie on the iPad. 

I can speak Somali well and I translate for my family members too. I can also understand and write Arabic a little bit.
